KICOBA

The Kiira College Butiki Old Boys Association (KICOBA) is an organization whose members mainly comprise of students who once attended Kiira College Butiki for their secondary school education. However membership is open to all the public members, whose interests resonate with the values of KICOBA.

As O.B's of the school, they have a very keen interest in the affairs of the school and are no doubt, stake holders.

There is an active executive committee, that is democratically elected by the Old Boys. This committee represents and advocates on behalf of the old  boys, for issues that we feel the school administration should consider as high priority for the best interest of our school.

As proud Butiki products, we believe that the success of the school at all levels is our pride too. We are Butiki and We shall Live Butiki!

Currently, there is an active Facebook page for all  Kiira College Butiki O.B's. It boasts of a membership of close to 1000 members and it is growing day by day.

The Facebook page name is; Kiira College Butiki, Jinja.

The co-ordination of KICOBA's activities has been a hibinger because of the difficulty in organizing members.

With the Facebook page, KICOBA has resurrected into being the vibrant association that it was set up to be. Through this, we have been able to hold different discussions about the school, refreshing ourselves with all the old memories  that we had as students at KCB. Above all, we have been able  to establish and mobilize the funding of some project that we as KICOBA consider to be vital for our school.

 

As KCB stake holders, we are still mobilizing our members and in preliminary talks of other school projects that we should take on as KICOBA. In partnership with the school administration, we shall be announcing some more projects that the KICOBA members will be undertaking for the good of our beloved school.
